What powers Aginera’s automatic conduit routing?

Aginera’s electrical BIM is powered by RouteNet™, our proprietary conduit-routing engine — a patent-pending algorithm built specifically for electrical drawings. RouteNet™ reads the devices, circuits and homerun designators off your PDF, resolves each circuit to its destination panel, then engineers a coordinated 3D conduit run at a real routing elevation and measures its linear feet as it goes. Unlike generic PDF-to-CAD converters or drawing tools, RouteNet™ treats conduit routing as a path-planning problem across the whole sheet, which is what lets it return a routed model and a takeoff from a flat PDF with no Revit model to start from. Do I need a Revit model or the CAD (DWG) file first?

No. That is the point. Other AI electrical BIM tools require you to already have a populated Revit model — they route inside a model you built. Aginera starts one step earlier, from the PDF drawing set everyone actually receives. If you do have the native DWG or DXF, it reads that too, but a PDF exported from CAD is enough.

What does the conduit takeoff give me?

Every routed circuit comes back with a linear-foot length measured from the model, tied back to its location on the plan. You review each run, adjust the routing where you want, and approve the ones you trust — the approved length is your takeoff. The model and the quantities come from the same pass, so the BIM and the takeoff always agree.

Is it real-time, or do I have to request access and wait?

What electrical scope does it route — power, lighting, low-voltage?

Aginera routes branch circuits from their devices to each circuit’s own destination panel (A, B, MDP and so on), including homeruns and cable-tray runs. It handles power and lighting circuits, and low-voltage where the devices and homeruns are on the sheet. Feeder and distribution topology between panels is on the roadmap; today the focus is branch conduit routing and its takeoff.

How accurate is the routed length?

Lengths are measured from the model’s geometry using the drawing’s own scale, not guessed from an image, and every run links back to the sheet with its state (fragment observed, engineered estimate, or approved). A circuit is only engineered once its panel location is resolved, so you always know which numbers are measured and which still need a decision. Review before the numbers reach an estimate.

Can I turn the model into a cost estimate?

Yes. The same platform that routes the conduit runs a full electrical takeoff and estimate. Once you approve the runs, the conduit and device quantities feed straight into Aginera’s estimating engine, so a single upload takes you from PDF to routed model to priced bid.
