Convert PDF to CADFree PDF to CAD converter (DWG & DXF)
Aginera's free PDF-to-CAD converter turns a vector PDF drawing into an editable DWG or DXF file. It traces the drawing's real line-work — walls, dimensions, symbols and text — and rebuilds it as CAD geometry you can open and edit in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, LibreCAD, DraftSight or any CAD application. There is no Autodesk software, licence, or account to set up, and nothing to install.
Vector PDFs only — and we check for you
PDF-to-CAD conversion only works on vector PDFs: drawings exported directly from CAD or BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit or MicroStation, where lines and text are true geometry. A scanned drawing or a photo saved as a PDF is a raster image — just pixels — so there is no geometry to convert. When you upload, Aginera automatically detects whether your PDF is vector and tells you immediately if it is a scan, so you never waste time on a file that can't be converted.
How to convert a PDF to CAD
- Export a vector PDF from your CAD/BIM software (or use an already-vector PDF).
- Drop it into the converter above — Aginera checks it is vector and traces the line-work.
- Preview the drawing in the browser: pan, zoom, and toggle layers on and off.
- Download the editable DWG or DXF and open it in your CAD app.
