Clash detection

Clash detection from the PDF bid set — no coordinated BIM model required. Aginera registers each discipline's sheets, reconstructs a 3D coordination model, and flags where systems conflict.

Purpose

Every clash tool on the market assumes you already have a coordinated BIM model — most projects never get one. Aginera's Clash tab runs coordination straight from the PDF bid set: it registers each discipline's sheets, reconstructs a lightweight 3D coordination model, and flags where systems run into each other.

Who this is for

Estimators, coordinators, and bidders who want to catch conflicts before they're priced or built — starting from the flat 2D drawings they already have.

Open the Clash view

From the takeoff workspace, open the Clash tab. Aginera builds the coordination model — reading the plan sheets, registering each discipline, and reconstructing the 3D — then opens a coordination preview.

Reading the coordination preview

Across the top you get the shape of the model: total interactions, coordination flags, screening count, objects, the number of sheets registered, and the worst RMS (how tightly the disciplines registered to each other).

The panel lists the flags, grouped by the discipline pair in conflict — for example HVAC × Structure or Med Gas × Structure — and each flag names the two objects and the room where they meet (e.g. O2 ↔ EXIST STL COLUMN C/3, Lab/Pharmacy 103). Switch between Flags, All interactions, and per-discipline screening.

The 3D view shows the registered systems together — mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structure — with the flagged conflicts marked, so you can see each clash in context.

No elevations on the sheets

2D MEP sheets don't carry real heights, so this is a coordination preview: object heights are inferred and every object exposes its Z evidence. Use it to surface likely conflicts early — not as a substitute for a fully coordinated model.
